DESCRIPTION:5th Annual WASSAILFEST!\n\nWhat is Wassail (sounds like 'wassle')?\n\nIn Old English\, the word meant 'be you healthy'\; it came to be known as hot mulled cider\, traditionally drunk during wassailing\, a medieval ritual intended to ensure a good cider apple harvest the following year.\n\n What do you do during Eagle Wassailfest?\n\nDrink Wassail of course   to the 'health' of Eagle! From December 5-7\, local Eagle businesses will serve up their own secret version of Wassail.\n\nFrom December 5-7\, participating Eagle businesses will serve up their own secret Wassail recipes. Wassailers are encouraged to taste at least 12 different Wassails and then vote for their favorite variety. All cards turned in that have been validated by at least 12 participating businesses will be included in a drawing for a Yeti Hopper Flip 12 Cooler Bag\, donated by Comerford/State Farm Insurance. Cards can be turned in Thursday and Friday at Comerford Insurance Agency during business hours\, or at Comerford's tent on Broadway before 4:30pm on Saturday. \n\n\n\nThe business that receives the most participant votes is crowned Eagle's WassailMeister and is awarded the WassailMeister Traveling Trophy.\n\n\n\nNEW THIS YEAR!\n\nOn Thursday December 5th\, WassailFest will run in conjunction with Noel Night on Broadway. Special reusable Silishot sampling cups will be available at various participating businesses on Broadway while they last!!! Pick one up and use it throughout WassailFest to help reduce waste!
