Engaged. Connected. Experiencing Community in Action.
More than 75 attendees joined us for a purposeful and empowering evening as the Eagle Chamber brought local businesses together to experience the vibrant culture of care at Stone Creek Charter School. Co-hosted by Cornerstone Insurance and Financial Group and Helping Hands Vail Valley, this was more than a networking event - it was an opportunity to witness how a small, inclusive, community-centered school is living in connection with others and strengthening the future of our valley.
Stone Creek Charter School (SCCS) celebrated their 20th year anniversary! SCCS Board Members and staff gathered into position for the Eagle Chamber ribbon-cutting ceremony, honoring the school's momentum.
A Flavorful & Festive Evening
Adults congregated in the school's cafeteria for a lively and welcoming celebration, featuring Mexican-inspired cuisine and refreshments by Kitchen Caterer Mireya Lopez, who set up delicious stations of food from chipotle chicken and ceviche tostadas to a beautifully curated array of sides and bites. Every turn revealed something colorful and yummy! Paired with NA micheladas, it was a feast that brought people together in the best way. Cornerstone Insurance and Financial Group's exotic mocktail bar was equally impressive, serving up handcrafted NA margaritas and palomas that guests thoroughly enjoyed.
A Family-Friendly Mixer
Our children guests were full of excitement, experiencing the school environment. Face painting, music with bongos and moroccos with dancing guided by Happy Feet Dance Adventures with Vail Valley Helping Hands, kept the children satisfied with more than enough entertainment. SCCS's fabulous pony and art teachers added an extra touch of creativity for our young guests in the music and art studios. Helping Hands Vail Valley served up warm cotton candy and popcorn - which brought the moment of the evening to remember. The machines set off the school's fire alarms, prompting a surprise visit from Gypsum's finest Fire Department, who confirmed there was no threat, and offered up firefighter hats for all the kids!
Exciting Giveaways
The generosity of the hosts and other local businesses was remarkable, with over 20 giveaways!
