Eagle Chamber Business Survey Results & Response

Eagle Chamber Shares Business Survey Results and Strategic Response

Eagle, Colorado - The Eagle Chamber of Commerce recently conducted a Business Climate Survey to better understand the challenges, priorities, and opportunities facing local businesses across the region. Responses from both Chamber Members and non-members revealed strong alignment around several key themes affecting today's business environment.

The survey results will help guide the Chamber's programming, advocacy efforts, and Member services moving forward.

"Our goal is always to listen first", said Michelle Morgan, Executive Director of the Eagle Chamber of Commerce. "This survey helps ensure that the Chamber's work reflects the real needs of the businesses we serve. We're grateful to everyone who took the time to share their perspective."

Based on the results, three consistent priorities emerged.

Customer Acquisition
"We need more customers"

Many businesses identified customer acquisition as their top challenge, reinforcing the importance of marketing, visibility and meaningful networking opportunities.

The Chamber's Response

To support businesses in attracting and connecting with new customers, the Chamber is expanding opportunities for marketing, education, visibility and promotion.

  • Pursuing Marketing & Visibility Educational Workshops: The Chamber is currently scheduling interviews with digital marketing organizations to pre-qualify educational programming that may be offered to Members.
  • Expanding Member Spotlight Opportunities at Mixers: The Chamber has introduced a new opportunity for three non-host Members to briefly spotlight their business during Mixers, in conjunction with the new Networking Bingo program.
  • Enhancing Strategic Promotion Through Chamber Digital Media: The Chamber understands that business owners are often focused on day-to-day operations and may not always have time to fully explore the marketing and visibility opportunities included with Membership. The Chamber is working to improve communication around these benefits so Members can more easily access and use them.
Workforce & Housing Realities
"Housing and population shifts affect our workforce pipeline."

Businesses shared concerns about workforce availability and the broader impacts of housing and population shifts in the region.

The Chamber's Response

The Chamber recognizes that workforce and housing challenges are complex and involve multiple stakeholders. As a connector and convener, the Chamber will focus on collaboration and resource-sharing.
  • Pursuing Collaboration with Workforce and Education Stakeholders: The Chamber will continue working with local workforce and education partners to help connect businesses with available resources.
  • Strategic Promotion of Hiring Opportunities: The Chamber is exploring ways to better communicate workforce hiring opportunities through Chamber Membership channels.
Business Lifecycle Support
"Built to Thrive - even in a Lean Market."

Businesses expressed strong interest in practical tools and education that help them operate more efficiently and adapt to changing conditions.

The Chamber's Response

The Chamber will focus on practical, real-world educational opportunities that support operational efficiency and business sustainability.
  • Pursuing practical AI & Automation Educational Workshops: The Chamber is interviewing organizations that may provide programming focused on tools that reduce operational strain, create simple time-saving systems and improve small business efficiency.
  • Using Survey Data to Inform Advocacy Conversations: Survey insights will also help guide conversations with regional partners and stakeholders about the evolving needs of the local business community.

Moving Forward

The Eagle Chamber will continue working with its Business Advocacy Committee and regional partners to translate survey insights into practical programming, strategic collaborations, and meaningful support for local businesses.

"These results confirm that businesses value connection, practical resources and a strong local network, " Morgan added. "The Chamber will continue building opportunities that help our business community adapt, grow and thrive."

Businesses interested in participating in upcoming educational programs or networking opportunities are encouraged to visit the Chamber website calendar or attend upcoming Chamber events.
